i really enjoy my rogue for farming if i need too. pickpocket, vanish, CC, and high DPS makes it a quick and efficent expearience. Also with the number of druids and rogues we have now, we can possibly begin some on the side "stealth work" and fund-raise with selling blues or bringing an enchanter with and creating mats for the guild or for selling _________________ I'll have plenty of time to sleep when I'm dead |

Fire,
A lot of help for dmg you will find in the segment i wrote in here. It talks about the two main types of rogues and what you should focus on for your stats and gear. When it comes to getting up to lvl 60 no rogue should be n e thing other than a sword combat spec. there are too few good daggers low lvl, actually any lvl but thats a different story, and you will find that dual wielding swords with the correct points for talents will make you rape both PvE and PvP. Once you reach 60, or at least above 54 much more becomes available to you and you can decide if you want to remain combat sword or go Assasination daggers, or if you wanna try something kewl like a Hemo build or use maces or claws. Its up to you but for 10-50 you will be spamming tons of SS with swords and raging face. |

Well i have been a crit rogue for a while now and im just not enjoying it that much anymore... i think i got my crit to like 33% unbuffed at one time. But because of the +crit i have to deal with lower AP which means less damage per hit but more crits... I was trying to see what they were going to do with the rogue talent trees before i switched over to AP gear. Now i have started to collect some AP gear but i have yet to see any real damage difference...
Right now my build is 8/30/13... i miss cold blood but blade flurry is so good for solo and in certain situations PVP. I have tried the 21/8/22 build and i didnt really like it... prep was good but the cooldown sucked... as do all rogue cooldowns since in pvp we need them to survive. I want to try a new spec and im thinking of getting cold blood and blade flurry but i dont know what i want to do yet. |

Well Slashed looks like your starting to get into the meat and potatoes of a Rogue and thats good to know. Your past all that newbie garbage and are looking deeper. Let me begin to mould you like a ball of clay and you too will become a master of Rogue powers. First off we need to get into what you wanna do with your Rogue. Rogues can be made to do almost n e thing, except maybe AOE even though Blade Flurry is amazing, so do you want to make a Rogue for PvP or for running instances or both. Also are you looking to do chart toping dmg with that Rogue or do you want survivability. Builds and gear for any of these are different and specific. The change in talents wont be here till 1.13 so we got some time to play around. _________________ Check out my Radness

I too am smitten by the dagger bug and have yet to leave them, though I hope to try maces for a brief moment when i finish my Tier .5 quests. Once you pick up that Twood poker you will be doing really well for weapons. Bonescrapper is best OH till CHT so I would definatly throw at 15 agi on it you will have it a while. I'm guessing your build is standard 31/8/12 SF build which is great fun in PvP and offers enough combo point generation to do decent PvE dmg as well. I'm anxious to get you in to MC and see how you perform. Our other Rogues have really been making strides and reaching the lvl of DPS that I wanna see out of em. Glad to have ya aboard and ignore everyone else, we know Rogues rule. _________________ Check out my Radness

Interesting topic....
A little about me...
I use the full Combat tree with leftover points spent in Assasination.
Goblin Engineering is my specialty. I do not PVP much anymore, but when I did, I used very similair strategies between PVP and regular gaming, which is maximizing my use of trinkets and bombs. most of the trinkets I posses do not share cooldown times so after every combat I am always swapping them out (I use a widescreen monitor with high-res as to alow all the hotkeys to be accessed at anytime)
For multi targets, my favorite trinkets are those that cause AOE or multiple target damage and those that summon allies to fight for you.
One on one confrontations I rely on those trinkets that add healing or reduce damamge and/or add to damage/attack.
I would love comments on how to improve on this particular style.
Thanks! |

Sounds like you are into the control aspest of the Rogue. 2 builds will compliment this well. Both the Hemo and Mutilate builds work well. They offer fast combo point generation that gives you better control over your targets. Mutilate is Dagger only and requires positioning and more 60 energy but with the ability to give you up to 3 CPs per hit and Hemo is only 35 engergy and should be done with a slower weapon. There is a long list of stuff to go over before you decide if you wanna pick either of them or another build. As of right now I don't feel like writing a thesis so next time we are in game shout me a holler and we can hop on vent and talk about some sexy Rogue stuff. _________________ Check out my Radness
